A Journey to Language and Culture

Yaprendí was born from my own experiences as a non-native Spanish speaker. Growing up in a place where language barriers existed, I developed a deep understanding of the challenges and the beauty that language learning brings. Over the years, I honed my skills as a Spanish teacher, transitioning from a high school classroom in Macon, Georgia to the vibrant diversity of New York City. I discovered that language acquisition isn’t just about words—it’s about building bridges between cultures, fostering connection, and developing confidence. My mission is to provide learners with a platform that’s as much about cultural immersion as it is about language mastery. Through personalized coaching, conversation practice, and real-world engagement, I empower learners to break through barriers and speak the language with confidence.

At the heart of my work is a focus on speaking, listening, writing, and reading. I provide a unique environment that allows people to connect with others who are on similar journeys. With the YSLE community, I create a safe space for learners to embrace discomfort, celebrate their progress, and deepen their understanding of the language and culture. Whether you’re starting your Spanish journey or improving your fluency, my goal is to provide a holistic approach to language learning, one that focuses on identity, growth, and connection.
